As more and more development occurs in many major Florida cities, more homeowners are coming across some unwelcome visitors. We don’t mean thieves, we mean the animals that roam our streets for food. More occurrences of bears, coyotes, raccoons, and many other creatures are popping up, in most cases catching the homeowners by surprise. In this article, we will be discussing some ways to keep these animals away from your home.
You can go to extreme measures if you have a regular visitor of a bear, but there are cheap and simple ways to keep them away.
First try to figure out why they come to your property specifically. If you have birdseed out, they are most likely attracted to that smell. Bring the bird feeders in overnight, or all the time, to ensure that is the culprit. When they do come, make sure they know they are not welcomed by clapping loudly from inside.

If you have vegetables that they go for, create a raised bed that's out of reach for rodents and bunnies. Also ensure no small animals are at home already in any small pits or holes around your home, and fill those pits.
