New year, new look: Bathroom

Continuing with our New Year New Look series, today we are tackling the bathroom. Most people might think that the bedroom is the most personable room in the house, but in reality, it's the bathroom. Think about it, everyone wants their own and everyone has a different standard as to how they would like to keep it. Many people refuse to use another bathroom aside from their own to handle their more private matters. With these dynamics in mind, renovating or remodeling a bathroom is can come with a lot of thought.

Number of people and their relationship to each other is an important aspect to think about when considering bathroom design. As we mentioned before, everyone wants their own bathroom but sometimes this might not be true. Houses are usually cookie cutter designed so that one bathroom is meant for one person in each room. However, if you have two kids living in the same room, you might want to consider designing the bathroom to reflect this living environment as well. Simply doing things like adding in another sink or separating the sink from the toilet can give each person more privacy. Additionally, with morning get ready times, it's best to have a bathroom with more privacy so that people can get ready simultaneously without feeling the pressure and awkwardness of fully sharing with another person.
