Happy Home: Lawn Care Part Two

In the previous part of Happy Home, we discussed lawn care, specifically knowing your soil, grass type, and how to mow accordingly. You could always hire a firm to do your lawn care, but if you have the time and energy, there’s a satisfaction that comes from doing it yourself! In this second part of lawn care, we will explore this topic further on how to care for your lawn!

One part of the lawn to look out for always are weeds that will always grow, even with fresh planted grass. These are particularly harmful as they actively compete with the grass for nutrients such as sunlight and water. You can pull them or use weed killers to do the job, however, don’t use these weed killers near areas where you are planting fresh grass as they can also work to prevent the grass from growing properly.

Watering practices are also important to know for proper lawn care. For grass, they tend to grow best with thorough and infrequent watering. This also depends on types of grass and the weather of your region. Most can be found out through soil test kits and the local weather.
