Quarantined Interior Design

Now that your home is sparkling clean (have you checked out our last two blog articles?), are you up for some home modeling? While you can't go outside to get a change of scenery, you can change the scenery at home. It might give you a break from the inside of your house and the repetition of seeing the same thing every day over the next couple of weeks. Here are some of our suggestions for making the inside of your home a new, refreshing view:

1. Add fake plants!

Even just a little bit of greenery can really change the feel of a room. If you are a plant killer or looking to spice a dark room up (bathroom), fake plants are the way to go. There are some cheaper options on Amazon that can be delivered to your door. One suggestion is getting vines since they take up more space and tend to draw more attention. Hang these on selves and desks.

2. Mirror, mirror on the wall

Adding mirrors actually makes your space larger since they reflect their surroundings. They create the illusion of more space and takes away the restriction of walls. Adding a large mirror or even a collection of smaller mirrors can spice up an empty wall space.

3. Get local art!

If you're looking for something to fill up wall space or fill an empty corner of your home, considering looking into local artists. This pandemic will hit the creative sector significantly since shows and auctions have been cancelled. However, you can look up and call artists in your area to get photos for potential new additions to your home!

We hope you enjoyed these tips. The AJS family is wishing you and your family safety and wellbeing during these uncertain times. Stay home and stay safe.
